Jesse and I had the opportunity to fly to Sonoma, CA to shoot a wedding this Saturday. We got here late Thursday night, so today we got to walk around the little town on Sonoma and check it out. It was a beautiful day... sunny and about 75 degrees. First we ate lunch at A Girl and a Fig restaurant, which was fantastic.

We ate out on the patio, which was a great choice :)
Then a little downtown shopping... with a mini photo shoot
Sonoma is known for its local wines. Jesse did a wine tasting of several of them... very tasty!
We then ate at Estates, a very yummy Italian resturaunt for dinner.
Gnocchi:
Tomorrow is the wedding... and it is at a FABULOUS vineyard which lots of great photo opportunites... so be sure to check back for those. Have a great weekend! ~Nelli

Congrats to Rachel and Chris! I was privileged to be able to shoot their wedding at a stunning location: The Quarry Golf Club in Canton.
This was a nice relaxing moment for them to take in the first minutes of being married and for me capture some awesome sun flare.
It was supposed to be on the count of "3". Rachel jumped the gun on "2" and I may have witnessed the most "cake meet beard" sequence of my life.
Perhaps the most original first dance I've seen. I little bit of everything.

Jared and Brynn's Wedding Day (and morning after)
2009-07-01We shot Brynn and Jared at Schoepfle Gardens [pronounced like "Sheply" (I think) for some reason or another]. Although it was a modest park it was perfect for shooting. It had a variety of scenery in a small space, and it was georgeous.
I like both of these pictures (above and below). It was too hard to choose one.
Shooting a "Trash the Dress" session is not only fun (especially when you have a couple as laid back as Brynn and Jared), but it is also a great opportunity to take great pictures early in the morning when the light is perfect and shoot spots one would never imagine going on the wedding day.
I had to rip off the film "From Here to Eternity" (yes I googled that - I do not know a lot about black and white films from the 1950's)
One of my favorite pics. It says "bride and groom" in a whole new way!
