Too Stinkin' Cute
2009-05-30
I really couldn't help but post these photo's. I was uploading an old memory card today and was surprised to find these! Jesse must have taken them at some point. This is Josiah, our youngest boy. I think these are the 3D glasses from Monsters vs. Aliens.

I think he is way too cute!

Ash Cave in Hocking Hills...and an event tomorrow
2009-05-28Feast your eyes on this natural wonder. Before things got real busy around here (Lots of weddings), me and the fam managed to make a quick trip to Hocking Hills State Park where I was able to bust out some HDR photos. This is Ash Cave where I really, really wish I would have brought my fisheye. Nevertheless, one of my faves. Beautiful Day. I really love landscape photography, which is why I'm looking forward to tomorrow night. It's an event unlike anything I've participated in before. We are setting up a landscape gallery at the Oaks on Chippewa Lake where there will be 200+ women coming for a Ladies Night Out Event. I shot a wedding at this venue last year and it was immediately on my favorite local venue list. The View, The Food, The People...Top-O-The-Line! I'm going a bit early to get a bite from the brand new menu. We'll also be setting up a candid photo booth for the ladies.

Missy and Nate Married! - A great setting in the Mohican valley!
2009-05-24Here is a preview of the wedding I shot this Saturday in Mohican. I loved the setting. What a great place to get married. These photos tell some of the story.
The wedding took place in this quaint environment in Butler, OH, under the shelter of a pavilion at the Mohican School in the Out-of-Doors. It was a small quiet wedding, and the expressions on Missy and Nate's faces throughout the ceremony assured me they were truly in love!

One of the most difficult challenges while shooting outdoors is too much backlight, causing the subjects to appear as silhouettes. The speedlight impressed me here with some great even foreground light!

This was a great candid shot by Byron.

Another great thing about shooting outdoors is not feeling constrained to the confines of church walls to take formal pictures. We found this interesting backdrop and decided to take all our formals in front of it. We liked it so much that we we able to squeeze in a few artistic shots as well! Great wedding Missy and Nate!

The kiss shot in the ceremony is nice

Lauren and Jacob Married! ...the rushing train
2009-05-22This is one of my favorites from this past weekend with Jacob and Lauren. They were up to trying anything creative, including getting just close enough to this rushing train to get her veil blowing with the train. I've got a series of images from this train that I'm really excited about. This one is the first I've processed. More to come...
jesse Boone:
This is one of those albums that seems to have too many good ones to choose from. I love it when that happens
linda dubois:
what an awesome picture, although with being one of the parents this seemed a little scary to me, but very cool.
jesse Boone:
Wait till you see the close-ups!
Joe:
