Aaron and Natalie Part 3
2009-04-30I wanted to give you a sneak preview of the Aaron and Natalie's album which is in progress. There are those photography pros out there who are all about getting the bride and groom to do their pics together before the ceremony. Maybe I am a tad traditional because I still like capturing this moment where they see each other for the first time while the bride comes down the aisle.

Chile
2009-04-28Here are a few shots a I took in Chile this fall. The first is from the streets of Valparaiso. We were fortunate enough to get a young bilingual guide who was willing to go off the normal tour. He allowed us to change the tour itinerary and instead just roam the streets of the city with him, where the people actually live. I'll be posting more from that walk soon. The two things that were most notable were the vibrant colors of the buildings and the incredible amount of colorful graffiti.
Here is a landscape from Patagonia. It was very windy in Torres Del Paine National Park the entire time we were there, so most of my shots are missing the reflection in the water, but I think I like the rough water paired with the rough peaks in this composition.

Glacier Dock { Patagonia Chile }
2009-04-23
One of the most remote boat docks in the world. This dock is at the base of the Glacier Gray at the southern tip of Patagonia Chile. The wind was blowing at about 60 mph, making photography a bit difficult. After this shot, we hopped in some kayaks and floated the river coming out of Lago Gray with the wind at our back. The wind was blowing so strong that you barely needed to paddle. You could use your paddle as a wind catcher and it would propel you nearly as fast as paddling.

Hi Burma,
This photography was really not that good out of the camera because the wind was blowing the water everywhere. I've done a lot of post-processing to it. I shot the image as a RAW photo and created a psuedo-hdr photo from it. Basically I took three layers of the same shot and optimized each one for tones in different areas of the photo and then blended them all together.
Burma:
I absolutely LOVE this photo. How are you able to capture/create the colors?
