Quinn and Drew are engaged to be married in just over a month. They chose a lavendar farm for their engagement photos and it was a perfect choice. I also think my photography and their personality was the perfect fit. I love natural emotion and the images I can capture when an in love couple let's their connection manifest in front of the lens. That is what we had here. It also is the debut of a new photoshop action I've been working on called The Way it Was. Here's one of my favorite images processed with that action.
It did not take long for me to realize that this was going to be a dream shoot for me. Drew and Quinn are inspiring people to be around and their ability to just let loose and enjoy each other's presence was key to the photos I'm about to present.
I brought my daughter Alicia along to hold lighting and help with my equipment. I could tell she was eager to shoot this couple, so I told her to put the bag down while I was taking the above shot and handed her a camera. This is what she came up with.
I processed it a bit of course, but it is one of my favorites.
Don't you love it when light and lens flares hit just right:)
Maybe my favorite...
While we were enjoying a walk around the lake, Quinn noticed this beautiful butterfly so I snapped a shot to remember. It wasn't until I started processing it that I notice the mantis holding it still for us.
My favorite one...It's hard to choose. I'd love to hear your opinion in the comments
Thank you Quinn and Drew for being yourselves and bringing so much joy to my photographic experience. I'm looking forward to the big day.
